Everyone on this site has gone through something like this at one time or another. There are millions of us, it's time to start

 THE RED SECT

Like the mafia, but with prettier hair.

But seriously, there are things you can learn during this period in your life. Like how to internally calm yourself under the greatest of stress to keep your head clear and win any battle of wits that might befall you. Learn to relax all of your muscles and breathe in & out deeply. Imagine yourself deeply immersed in coldness so those a**holes can never make you blush. Try to develop a really funny sense of humor because if you get picked on, when you say something funnier than what they said to you, you win.

Red is different and rare and there will always be ignorant, stupid animals who just CAN NOT understand anything that is not just like them. There are gifts in this disenfranchisement: it will be clear to you, as if you were sitting on a pedestal observing the behavior of another species, how F**KED UP those people are, how they don't have enough love in their hearts to lead a truly good, full life and that Love=Happiness=Fun and they are actually having less fun in their life overall by leading with hate.

I promise you, these words are the truth, but they will not help you if this turns violent. Be strong, learn self defense and be a friend to as many people as you possibly can. This is actually a crash course in DEALING WITH PEOPLE, the sooner you learn how to do this, the better off you will be. You will always have to DEAL WITH PEOPLE in your life, it's fun if you make it an art.

and also, come here often, it's like a quick trip to the home planet.

I actually wrote this in reponse to another post from Fiddy, who is having the same trouble you are. I'm just going to keep it on hand for all the redheaded kids who need a little guidance.
You are not alone. You can't change what people do, but you can change how you feel and what it turns you into. Good Luck!

Wow ... it really sucks what you're going through. I may not be a redhead but I understand the part about being made fun off or descriminated against.

-Tell them that it bothers you and it's not funny.
-Ignorance is bliss to some people so you can ignore them.
-You can laugh it off cause they probably like to see you sqirm, "misery loves company".
-You can reply with, "talk to me when you come up with something original." ... "Have you been talking to my grandmother? Cause that's how old that joke is." ... "Wow, you're not funny at all." ... etc.

I know it's hard ... trust me! But keep in mind that there will always be douche bags out there so try not to let it get to you.

A lot of it is jelousy, you're different to them and they don't like it ( the fact that it is a genetic difference is totally lost on them) ignore it or at least laugh it off. As soon as these freaks see that it doesn't affect you they will stop.

Yea tell them to feck off and not let it bother you!

I guess I have not gone through alot of the teasing that most redheads have. The occasional....uh oh she is a redhead watch out for her temper...etc but never really teased. I take it with a grain of salt, I know that my redh hair makes me stand out and I am ok with that.
