So........I got the art store (Guiry's) jobbie, and I start tomorrow and I work every day this coming week from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and so that's good, even though the money is for shite.
At least I think it is. He never contacted me to "talk about money" so I guess I'll be getting the standard $8 an hour...it's a LOT less than I can make, graphically, but since no one wants me, graphically, right now, well, I'm'a take what I can get.
And I do think it will be good. Even if it's only to get me out of the house, you know?
AND I confirmed with the dude, about the Lyric painting. Unfortunately, since I couldn't get back to him right away, he's talking about talking to a friend of his about the Emmy painting, but he does still want Lyric, and he told me today that I'd have the traveler's checks "very soon." So we shall see.
I just...I'm excited, still, but the more I think about it, the more I'm like, it's a NICE painting, and it's some of my very best work, for sure, but is it worth $1,000? You know what I mean?
So I'm at the "let's just see what happens" stage, and I will for SURE be taking the traveler's checks to the bank first thing, and having them checked out for validity, expiration, fraud, and theft. And I think they'll hold them for seven days anyway...but again I'm not sure. Have not dealt with traveler's checks much, truth be told.
So I'll keep ya posted, because I know you'll all be on pins and verily, needles, waiting. (BIG WINK--I know that most don't care!)
Love you all, anyway, whether you do or not (care, that is).
Oh and wish me luck tomorrow
