Nice to be mentioned in dispatches :) I like to think that I get along with every one, but I know that isn't the case :( there has been only one member I have had issues with (the same one that called Jules a fascist) My advice, if you don't like a member don't talk to them - this site has a membership exceeding 5600, there is bound to be someone who gets you. :) Phil

Umm, am I being reported?? I missed a trick there I think, so *blank expression* right now.

All this is immature n silly, and its too petty to give thougtspace too, but it inflicts on the entire redhedd family (ahem, MAJORLY dysfunctional in places family, but a family none the less!) and its not nice to have buckets of blame being thrown on individuals.

Jules is totally right about the site in the way it goes up n down the entire time...and i think i can safely say we are down right now, so how bout we go UP again soon?

 Like Hills said, there ARE no convo police (except me, when I'm feeling prudish, but that's self-appointed ), and as for free expression vs. basic respect and human decency, see many many other blogs/diatribes/proclamations/pontifications.

We go through this all the time. It waxes and wanes, the energy levels and respect levels, the anger and tolerance and humor levels, and yes, the fun levels, on this site.

We're like a huge functional dysfunctional family; some get along, and some don't. 

 We're ALL immature at times, I know I sure am, and we all have strong opinions. Thing is, why do we have to be at each others throats about it?

I just jumped down someone's throat for calling us fascists, and I probably shouldn't have (though I was pretty proud of it EEP).

I know there's a lot of passion on here, and as in life there are ALWAYS going to be people you can't stand, but why do we have to attack and get petty and sh.it? I mean seriously: if you don't like someone, if you can't STAND them, then why give a flying FUK what they think?

Eh, just my opinion.

Staff, it should be common sense that resorting to name-calling is not proper conduct. Aside from that, please refer to the terms and conditions section of the site for further instruction. If this proves to be too much of a challenge for anyone, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

It's not my intention to act as the "conversation police," but at the same time, I can't ignore if someone is being harassed. The objective is for everyone to feel welcome here. 

If there is someone you would like to report, message me in private. If things are not brought to my attention, there's nothing I can do about it. There is not someone always looming over the conversations taking place on the site to make sure no one is stepping out of line.

And more over, no one has been booted, so that's not even an issue here.
