I'm NOT Obsessed...
Posted On 07/22/2008 21:35:00 by JuWells
...with Frankie, swear! Suffice to say I've never had such a "cool" cat as yon Frankinscense (sp). All my cats have been a) female (except for Calypso (who was totally Calliope until I found out he was a boy), and I didn't have him that long before I hadda give him and Persephone up to go to 'puter school but that's yet another loooooooooooong boring relevant to no one story so I won't tell it at this juncture) and b) very shy with strangers (except for Hallie who would do "shows" for people, she was a crack-up) and so whenever someone came over they'd hide.

Frankie? When someone comes over, especially workmen (he LOVES workmen) he's kinda all over them, sniffing, circling, and yes, doing the prairie cat thingie to see what they're doing.

Ok, SO! Neighbors on the left are SO ROCKIN, I love them. It's a young Indian couple and their young son--maybe 2.5 or 3 years old--and he is ADORABLE.

He LOVES to wave, and he's just fearless and lovely and sweet and comes to say hi all the time.

The wife (I truly apologize for no names, it's that I can't remember/spell them and that's horrid, sorry again) is SO beautiful, I can hardly stand it. She's super sweet and the other day she was wearing this deep peach sari with gold threads running through, and against her skin with her hair? GORgeous, seriously.

Anyone ever seen "Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love"? Great flick; beautiful colors and scenery and people and just over the top romantic and sexy and sensual and just EPIC and suchlike: highly recommended.

Anyway.

The little boy, he's just a joy, and he's a waver, and he LOVES the kitties. He's only ever seen them in the window, and he calls them "dogs," lol.

He especially likes Frank, cuz Frank is always in the window talking to him (Frankie, as previously mentioned, is a talker).

He likes the dogs, too, but since they're SO big and barky, they're a bit much for him (Linus is literally BIGGER than him), but he's WAY into the cats.

So the other day we got home from shopping and the mom and the baby were out there, looking for the kitties. So I said "just'a sec" and went in and brought Frank out.

Keep in mind I've NEVER had a cat that I can carry as easily as Frankles (he really just relaxes into it and hangs out) and I've NEVER had a cat I felt comfy carrying around outside, but with Frank, I do.

So I go get Frank, and the little boy, Oh MY DOG he was just tickled pink!

Frankie was AMAZING! He stayed in my arms and sniffed the little boy's hands and just was so calm and lovely and the little boy, the way he was putting his palm up to Frankie's nose, I thought I was gonna die of overwhelming CUTENESS and then when he petted him it was just so fun.

Frankie tickled him with his whiskers, and he just kept giggling and giggling.

He tried to put his face to Frank's face and Frank was game but his mom was like "NO!!" lol. Then little boy was gonna bury his face in Frankie's neck and again mom was all "NO!" but still he had a GREAT time petting the Frankles and Frankles was soooooo cool and laid back.

I was really proud of him.

I'm NOT obsessed with that cat.

Swear.

Awwwwwwwwwww, Frankie is the cooliest kitty, how sweet he was with that little chap, that is so adorable. I think your Frankie could teach my Chilli, some of the refinements of the life of a kitty-kat. I'm in love with the adorable Frankles, so I can understand why you are totally smitten with such an endearing kitty.

Aw, Frankie sounds amazing. I bet you could take him like to a retirement home to be pet therapy. And Goldstar, I always hear that argument from cat-haters. First of all, I don't know why predatory behavior is wrong in cats, but not in other animals, and second, I keep my cats at home, not in a wildlife sanctuary. My big boy does kill the occassional rat or mouse. I have no problam with that. If a cat can catch a bird, it was probably sick or injured anyway, and that, my friend, is the way of the world.

Awww, Frankie is such a sweetie, and yes since I saw the video I'm totally gone on him myself - so when are you going to clone him so I can get my own Frankie?

Good, send him over to teach Onyx to chill the hell out.... She keeps peeing on things and I'm going to launch her from a catapult..... Yep, bad pun intended..... Ha....

There are so many awful things one can be obessed with.  Be glad that Frankie is your obsession.  The situation does sound really cute.

I hate cats, they kill more wildlife for fun than anything else on the planet, just look at Australia for example.  Mind you, we're to blame really, we befriended the furballs in the first place

Awww that is so cute....P.S. I think Otis is STILL trying to get back at me for the torturious (sp) things I have done to him....we had our patio poured today and guess what the little jackass did?!?! Walked across the wet cement...ARGH! So now he has his little kitty prints forever left in the middle and all the way around the edge of the patio.
